Small Happy Moments #8

The Winter months can be a hard time for a lot of people for a variety of reasons. The dark nights definitely don’t help my mental health, but lets try to focus on the positives. Small Happy Moments is a series on my blog where I take time to appreciate the little things in life. I’ve not written one of these posts in almost 2 months, so let’s catch up…

Here are a few of my small happy moments:

No More Uni

Well for a month anyway… My first semester of third year has been stressful to say the least! I had exams over the last week, and I also had a lot of coursework due in the lead up to exams. I’m so grateful to have a month off to recharge. I’m really looking forward to taking some time for myself and to enjoy all the festivities too!

A Winter Wonderland

The lovely team at St Enoch invited me to their annual Christmas event which showcased lots of the lovely pieces they have for sale this Winter. I had such a nice time! The prosecco was flowing, I got a ridiculously cute teddy bear with my name on it, and I was surrounded by all things festive. What’s not to love? I also got the time to chat with some great people, including Jordanne and Lis. It’s so nice to find genuine, kind people that you can have honest conversations with.

Speaking of a winter wonderland, I also went along to Super Market at the Arches this weekend and it was looking so festive! There were loads of cool indy businesses there, and I picked up a few things which I’m sure you’ll see on my Instagram soon.

If you know me then you’ll most likely know that I love Daughter. They’re one of my favourite bands of all time, and you’ll probably find me crying to their music at least once a week. Elena has released a solo album, and it’s beautiful. I’m pretty sure it’s the only thing that got me through studying for exams (okay Lewis bringing me cups of tea definitely helped too). If you listen to one thing today then please make it this album.

Decorating For Christmas

On the first of December, I went into full festive mode. The Christmas music went on, and the hunting for our decorations began. I’ve still not found my favourite (ugly) Christmas cardigan, but the tree is up and I’m so happy about it. I love love love coming home to the glow of the Christmas tree. Can’t say I love the fact that Bear’s new hobby is slapping the baubles off the tree, but at least he’s not knocked the whole thing over, right..?

T2 Apple Crumble Tea

Last but definitely not least, this tea is a complete dream. I’m drinking even more tea than usual (which I didn’t think was possible if I’m honest), and T2’s Apple Crumble is definitely the one I’m reaching for the most. This apple, cinammon and hazlenut combo is the perfect Winter drink for me. As much as I love a good hot chocolate, it’s not something I would choose to drink that often. However, I could easily drink multiple cups of this apple crumble tea every single day.

And that’s a wrap! I think this will probably be my last Small Happy Moments of the year, so I hope you’ve enjoyed this little series. I’d love to know what some of your small happy moments have been recently!

In the mood to read more? I’ve also been chatting about the skincare that’s saving my skin this Winter.

I think it’s so important to to remember the little things that make us happy. Or cheer us up. Decorating for Christmas is one of my favourite things about the run up to the big day. 😊 Your pyjamas are very cute by the way, I love the penguin pattern.
