In case you’re new around here, Small Happy Moments is a series where I share a few things that have made me smile recently.
Joining The Library – I’ve been a member of my local library for less than a week, and I already can’t recommend it enough. I’ve been such a bookworm recently, but I realistically can’t afford to keep spending money on so many books. The library has been a lifesaver – it’s 100% free. By joining Glasgow Libraries, you can have up to 12 books at a time and you can use any library in Glasgow. Take my word and head along to your nearest library!
Glasgow Botanic Gardens – Despite living in the West End throughout my first year of uni, I never spent much time in the Botanic Gardens. However, I’ve been a few times recently and it’s so nice. Whether you just want to sit in the sun or wander round the gardens, it’s a great way to spend an afternoon.
Loop & Scoop – This kinda follows on from my previous point… If I’m visiting the Botanic Gardens, I can’t resist the short walk down to Loop & Scoop. It has quickly become my favourite ice cream spot in Glasgow! They’re not just known for their ice cream – they also do the most amazing churros which are made fresh when you order. You really can’t beat it!
Good Girls – A Netflix show about 3 “normal” mums who decide to rob a bank. This new Netflix show is entertaining, heartwarming and even a little bit emotional at times. There’s only one season so far, and it didn’t take me long to finish it. If you’re looking for something new to watch then you can’t go wrong with this.
A Little Coffee Date – I went to Grain & Grind this week with Alisha who is a fellow Glasgow blogger. You really can’t beat a good coffee, cake and chat! It was exactly what I needed after a rough mental health week. Despite never meeting before, we hit it off (if I say so myself) and before I knew it, we had been chatting for over 2 hours!
