In case you missed the last one, Small Happy Moments is a new feature on my blog where I discuss some of the little moments that have made me happy recently.
Most of my time is being spent studying for exams, but there have been a few small happy moments that I think are worth mentioning.
Visiting Pollok Country Park
Pollok Park is only about 2 miles from our house, and it’s one of my favourite spots in Glasgow. We went for a walk there last weekend and I spent at least half an hour admiring all the highland cows. The park is huge, and I even managed to find an area that I’d never seen before! Being there on a sunny day made me very excited for summer.
I Go Crazy – Orla Gartland
This song is sooooooo catchy. I’ve had it stuck in my head from the very first listen. I’m hoping Orla will be releasing an album soon, because if that single is anything to go by then the album will be incredible!
Coffee breaks are keeping me awake/relatively sane this exam season. As much as I wish I could afford to pop round to Market every time I wanted a coffee (I’m still dreaming of that chocolate Oreo cake), I’ve also been enjoying making my own coffee at home with Oatly Barista milk.
The Local Grocer
I’ve been making an effort to shop at my local fruit and veg shop as much as possible, and I’m loving it. The amount of plastic packaging is massively reduced compared to what you see in big supermarkets, and it’s really not any more expensive. The food is fresh and the staff are really kind, so I always look forward to going in.
This film – oh my god – get the tissues. After hearing so many great things about this movie, I had to watch it for myself and it didn’t disappoint. Lewis can vouch for the fact that I cried pretty much the whole way through. Despite the tears, this film really did make me happy. It was incredibly heartwarming and I’d urge you to give it a watch.
….and that’s a wrap for this time! What has made you happy recently? I’d love to know.
Do you follow me on Instagram? I’m trying to reach 1k by my birthday in June!
