After a long and busy week, sometimes the last thing you want to do is go out and that’s perfectly okay. To celebrate their hdr TV Panasonic asked me to share my top tips for the perfect cosy night in. If we’re being honest, I’m definitely a homebody so I think I’m pretty clued up on how to have the perfect cosy night in!
You can’t go wrong with starting your cosy night in with a bath. Pop on a face mask while you’re in there if you fancy! Once you’re looking like a wrinkled up prune then that’s probably your cue to hop out and continue with the rest of your cosy night in.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
1) Comfy clothes
You can’t have a cosy night in unless you’re wearing your comfiest clothes. That’s the number one rule, so don’t break it!
2) Good food
Whether you’re forking out for a takeaway (I wish I was), making a giant bowl of pasta (yum) or just eating the remainders of your Easter chocolate, just make sure you’re set up for lots of snacking! There’s nothing worse than running out of food halfway through a movie.
3) Decide on what to watch
What’s it gonna be? Movie or TV show? If you’re anything like me then this decision is probably going to take up a good chunk of time. I’m way too indecisive. If you’re really struggling then I’ve written up up a list of 10 binge worthy TV shows, so you can’t go wrong there!
4) Your favourite hot drink
Or maybe your alcoholic beverage of choice depending on how you’re feeling. Obviously I’ve went for both (indecisive as always). Either way, get a drink and make sure it’s something a little bit special! No water allowed.
5) Candles
You can’t go wrong with turning the lights off and lighting some candles! Maybe light the candles before you turn the lights off though; we don’t want to start a real fire…
6) Popcorn
It wouldn’t be a movie night without it!
7) All the blankets
Is it just me or is there something really satisfying about bringing the duvet into the living room? Get all the blankets out for this special occasion, because the goal is to be in a big cosy cocoon.
8) Cuddles
If you’ve got a furry friend then now is the time to convince them to cosy up with you. Bear didn’t seem to mind too much, but I may or may not have to bribe him with his treats to keep him here throughout the night.
Have I missed anything out? What are your essentials for a cosy night in? Let me know in the comments below.
