New Staples In My Skincare Routine

A few items in this post were kindly gifted, but all thoughts and opinions are my own!

I don’t know about you, but my skin never really wants to behave. Kinda offended that it still refuses to cooperate when I go through a lengthy skincare twice a day.  However over the last few months, I’ve been testing out some new products and I’ve found some gems. They have become staples in my skincare routine, and I thought I’d share these new additions in my skincare routine.

While my skin is still no where near perfect, I’ve definitely noticed an improvement since using these products… They leave my skin feeling hydrated and looking dewy which is exactly what I want. As always, everything I mention is cruelty free…

Let’s dive in!

A Pony Called Steve Wonder Balm. So I may or may not be on my third tin of Wonder Balm… It’s an all natural cleansing balm that is perfect for taking your make up off. A little goes a long way and it removes waterproof make up with ease. I really love using products with simple, natural ingredients – I can actually read everything on the ingredients list which is always a good sign.

*Freshly Cosmetics Multi-Antioxidant Facial Moisturiser. This is my go to moisturiser in the morning. It’s nice and light on my skin, but it also keeps my skin moisturised all day long. Freshly are a relatively new company to me, but I really love what they stand for. I definitely want to try more of the products from their skincare range!

Pixi Glow Tonic. This is a cult classic from Pixi, and I can’t believe it took me so long to try it. I’ve been using this at least once a day, and I’ve noticed a difference in the texture of my skin. I pop a little bit on a reusable cotton pad and swipe it over my face after cleansing. It definitely brightens up my skin, and I think it’s been helping keep breakouts at bay too.

*Freshly Cosmetics Red Velvet Serum. This is without a doubt the most luxurious facial oil I’ve ever used. Although I have to say I was a little disappointed that it didn’t actually smell like red velvet cake…

It claims to help breakouts, blackheads, wrinkles and dehydration which is a pretty big claim… I wouldn’t say it’s made any difference with blackheads, but it definitely soothes my breakouts and keeps my skin very hydrated. It’s the perfect oil to use if your face feels thirsty at the end of the day!

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Bouncy Eye Mask. I’ve gotta admit I am rubbish at remembering to use eye cream, but purchasing this product has definitely encouraged me to get back into it.

It’s designed to be used as an eye mask, using a heavy layer of it for a short amount of time. However, a lovely Body Shop staff member told me that it works great as an eye cream if you use a light layer. At £18 for a tiny little pot, it does seem quite pricey but after using it for a good few months now, I can tell it’s going to last a while!

Rose Quartz Roller. Okay I suppose this isn’t actually a skincare  product, it’s more of a skincare tool… They supposedly increase blood circulation and reduce inflammation in your face. Honestly, I can’t say I’ve noticed much difference in that department. I think I probably should be doing it more regularly if I want to see a change. However I do love using my roller for another reason. It is the perfect tool to ensure that your moisturiser, serums and oils really soak into the skin! I love using it a couple nights a week before bed.

Will any of these products make it onto your wish list? Let me know! I would also love to know what products you’re currently loving – I’m always on the lookout for new products to try.
