Celebrating International Women’s Day 2018

International Women's Day

Happy International Women’s Day gang! International Women’s Day is celebrated each year on March 8th and commemorates the women’s rights movement. I am eternally grateful for the badass women who have fought so hard for equality. While we may not be 100% there yet, I’m thankful for how far it’s come, and I’m hopeful for further change in the future. If I say so myself, women are pretty incredible.

Starting a blog introduced me to so many wonderful women, so I decided the best way to celebrate International Women’s Day on my blog was to share some of my favourite ladies in the online world. These women genuinely inspire me every single day. There’s no way I could mention every single person, but here are a few special gems…

Codie is a constant ray of sunshine. She is so strong, and I admire her positivity. Her Instagram stories genuinely make my day a little bit better, and she also has a great Youtube channel that deserves recognition. If we’re being honest here, I think I could happily listen to Codie’s voice all day (sorry Codie, no pressure).

Alice Anne

Alice is a new mum, and she’s doing an incredible job. Despite being busy taking care of little Joshua (who is very cute by the way), she’s regularly uploading great content over on her blog. Regardless of the topic, I know I’ll be reading every single post!

The Lilac Scrapbook

Katy is the woman who inspired and motivated me to start my own blog, so it’s fair to say I owe a lot to her… I’ve been friends with Katy for a good few years now and I’m hoping we can meet face to face in the not too distant future. I will always be grateful for her endless support.

Whilst studying, Charlotte is also running a successful freelance business and producing regular content over on her blog. I have no idea how she fits it all in, but she does it flawlessly! Charlotte also recently started uploading little chatty Instagram stories which I am loving; it’s always nice to see the person behind the blog!

Lyd recently started her own independent business selling her stationary sets and prints. Let me just tell you, she is smashing it. I’ve already ordered a couple things from her shop, and I know I’ll be ordering more in the future. Not only is she a sassy business lady, Lyd is also incredibly kind and always goes out of her way to help others. It doesn’t go unnoticed!

The Monday Project

I only discovered Kirsty and her blog recently, but I’m so glad I did. She’s recently announced that she’s starting a newsletter to inject a little bit of positivity in everyone’s week, and I couldn’t be more excited for it. Her recent blog posts on exploring her style have definitely inspired me to do the same which is something I’ve always shied away from.

There’s a hundred other people I could mention, but if I go on any longer I’m afraid this blog post might turn into a novel instead. Please do go check out all of the wonderful females I’ve mentioned and give them some support. I’ve linked everyone’s blogs and their social media so have a little click around!

Before I go, I will give a sneaky little shoutout to my mum though. I can’t write a post on International Women’s Day and not mention her. She is the most hardworking woman in the world and never gives up. Despite how stressful things may get, she takes everything in her stride and I’m full of admiration for her.

Lastly, to all my female readers… thank you. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your support.

If you’d like to show me some support this International Women’s Day, I’d love for you to like my Facebook page. It’s a great way of keeping up to date with my blog posts!
