Garlic and Chilli Pasta

Garlic and chilli spaghetti is one of my go-to meals. It is so good. It’s simple, but that doesn’t mean it’s lacking in flavour!

I first tried this in an Italian restaurant and have been kinda obsessed ever since. If it’s on the menu then I can guarantee you that I’ll order it.

You only need a few ingredients for this recipe and it’s very quick to make. If you love pasta then you need to try this!

Garlic and Chilli Spaghetti

Serves 2

250g of spaghetti or linguine
4 large garlic cloves (I often use more, I’m a bit of a garlic addict!)
2 red chillies
50 ml extra virgin olive oil

Garlic and Chilli Spaghetti


Put your pasta into a pot of boiling salted water. While the pasta is cooking, deseed and chop the chillies and mince the garlic. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan on a medium heat. Add the garlic and chillies, then turn the heat down a little. Stir it occasionally and make sure you don’t let it burn.

Once the pasta is cooked, drain and place into your bowls. Pour your oil, garlic and chilli mixture over the pasta. Season with some salt and lots of pepper, then sprinkle some parmesan on top.

If you’d like to add something a little bit extra in, I love adding a big spoon of pesto.

See! So easy. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit I accompany this with a generous plate of garlic bread too… You can never have too much garlic, right?
